Outsmarting the Nonsense

Many of us had unwittingly gotten ourselves into certain messes, so even when we have nobody else to blame but ourselves, the situations can still be 100% pure and natural nonsense.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand the feeling of having to deal with nonsense. Whether we’re talking about financial situations, issues within relationships, rising prices wherever you go, or anything else that adds gray clouds to our day, the nonsense simply isn’t fun to have around.

So, what exactly do we do in order to outsmart the nonsense? Believe it or not, it’s really not as difficult as it may seem. In order to outsmart the nonsense, you simply have to think a few steps ahead. If you’re a chess player, you would understand the importance of seeing a situation several possible positions into the future. It helps you to not only prepare for various outcomes, but it also helps you to stay focused on the end game that you’re striving to achieve.

Aside from thinking a few steps ahead, you will also need to come up with alternatives to situations where you don’t have to contend with a particular problem. For example, if you are facing a particularly large expense that has you worried about how you will afford it, rather than wallowing in the worry, you outsmart this nonsense by buckling down and getting busy focusing on an actual solution.

Think and consider any possible scenarios that will help you to come out ahead of the nonsense. Worry clouds our thinking, but focusing on solutions gets our mind working harder. The truth is, our minds are designed to solve problems. Why do you think it’s such an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment when you are able to figure out a difficult problem?

Your mind is wired to discover the best possible paths that will amount to true growth and accomplishment. When we set our minds towards a healthy solution to a problem, we will only get used to this pathway for every future issue that we face. This will directly equate to being able to outsmart almost every single bit of nonsense that comes your way.

As a homework assignment, I want you to think of a particular problem that has been bothering you lately. Rather than meeting this problem with worry and fear, I want you to instead think of scenarios where you are attacking or solving this problem and focusing only on these solutions.

It may not be easy at first, but the more that you attack problems in this way, the more you will become accustomed to being a true problem solver and outsmarting nearly every bit of nonsense that’s thrown your way.
